Sorry for the lack of commits since September 16 but I had certain things to do and I’m back to the development of FARC.
I working on these two steps in same time:
- Weather and Geophysical System (WEAGES) induced region environmental modifiers.
- Weather and Geophysical System (WEAGES) implementation of a probability system, with specific data for each effect, to determine if and how a weather/geophysical effect will hit settlements, expeditions and armies.
The calculations for the settlements’ hit probabilities of the two existing weather effects is done, and I currently implementing them. I had also to expand settlement’s data structure to link the weather and geophysical effects.
I also expanded the data structure for the weather system’s region environmental modifiers (REM).
Tomorrow I will work on the design of them for the two weather effects actually in the game and I will implement them.
So, in the future any upcoming weather and geophysical effect will come with its own set of REM. I will add later some custom rules, since effect like Earthquake will induce direct damage to anything affected in a region, additionally to the difficulties for any activity.
I will make a post tomorrow if I complete the two to-do steps.
In all ways, I will also upload a updated source package of FARC tomorrow too.
